E-Business Process Integrity (EBPI) is the design, implementation and management of automated and process based internal control system that ensures transactions are properly processed by an e-business enabled enterprise application (e.g. accurate sales tax calculation, complete order entry, timely issue reporting).

EBPI is important because it drives the overall efficiency of the internal business process and how transactions are recorded, edited and reported. It is also important because in many cases small errors in one business process may lead to subsequent errors in other down-stream business processes.
