E-Security/Privacy Consulting

Fast Facts:
Ninety percent (90%) of network attacks result in sensitive information being compromised (Source: FBI)

Seventy five percent (75%) of attacks on corporate networks or unauthorized manipulation of sensitive information is conducted by authorized users
(e.g. employees) (Source: Gartner Group)

E-Security involves the design and implementation of a risk management framework that addresses end user authentication and access control requirements for information systems. It is a topic that is often talked about but poorly understood.

E-Security is about designing a strategy that is effective, proactive and decisive. It is also about knowing every little detail about your company and the environment it operates in (e.g. what business is my company really in; who are our customers; who are our competitors; what creates customer value and repeat sales).

Often companies think that they are "safe" because a firewall has been installed on the network to authenticate users and the system has been updated with latest software patch. This is called a "false sense of security". No company, regardless of its size is hacker proof or is exempt from the risks of sharing information across a network.

In order to properly address e-security issues your organization must:

Have access to the latest and greatest security tools in the market place.

Stay ahead of the black-hat hacker community.

Address risks from an internal and external perspective.

Get serious about information security and protection (e.g. employee training, policies).

What We Do
We can help your company with its e-security risk mitigation strategy by working with you to:

Design and implement access security strategies at the database, operating system and application levels of your enterprise system.

Develop an enterprise IT security policy that can be used to direct staff, management and business partners in how company owned network resources should be used.

Identify and assess the key internal and external vulnerabilities within your existing network (network intrusion/network vulnerability testing).

Implement network monitoring solutions that can be used to identify unscrupulous activity by end users on your company's network.

Design and implement biometric security solutions that can be used to authenticate an end user on your company's network based on an unique physical characteristic.

Design and implement digital signature and PKI solutions that can be used to authenticate an end user on your company's network based on unique private/secret keys.
